This summer join Adventure Yoga Retreats and GO Campaign for a luxurious week long journey to one of the new 7 wonders of the world: Machu Picchu. Set in the mystical, Sagrado Valle de los Incas (Sacred Valley of the Incas), Machu Picchu is one of the most important archeological sites in the world giving us a glimpse into the Incan civilization. We will also immerse ourselves in the local culture visiting ruins, local markets and local grassroots projects for youth supported by GO Campaign. In the evenings we will be staying at some of the best hotels in the valley so we can restore and be rejuvenated for our daily adventure.

You’ve seen all the amazing photos, you’ve heard about Hiram Bingham and the National Geographic expedition that uncovered this UNESCO Heritage site back in 1911. Now it’s time to go experience what everyone is talking about. It’s time to feel the power of the ancient land and venture south into the Inca civilization.

This will be no ordinary trip into the mysterious life of the Incas. You will be guided by an experienced team of professionals who have spent time in Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. You will visit GO Campaign supported projects and you will meet the local people of Peru. You will eat incredible organic cuisine while feeding your soul with daily yoga classes.

GO Founder Scott Fifer with studentBefore founding GO Campaign, Scott worked on Capitol Hill as a US Senate aide on both sides of the aisle (Sen. Ted Kennedy and Sen. Pete Domenici), on Wall Street as a tax attorney at Lord, Day & Lord Barrett Smith, and in Hollywood as a TV and film writer for Miramax, Sony Pictures, New Line, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, Lifetime, USA and others. In 2005 he took a volunteer vacation to Tanzania where he worked at a center for street children. It was the best month of his life and it led him to found GO Campaign to help vulnerable children all over the world who are falling through the cracks but who have the good fortune to have a local hero in the community fighting for their future.

“My vision for GO Campaign is that we continue to meet the needs of children around the world in the most compassionate, efficient, and holistic way possible without encouraging dependency on aid. We’ve got to remain nimble and flexible, listening to our partners on the ground, partnering with other nonprofits, willing to learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others, while always being strict stewards of donor funds. Every time I’m out in the field, visiting funded projects or finding new ones to support, I am both thrilled and humbled to see how easy it is to change a child’s life, and I want GO Campaign to spread that feeling to others as together we work to transform communities, one child at a time.”
